Walker — warming up a new profile
A fresh profile with no history and no cookies looks like a browser installed a minute ago. Many sites take a closer look at such accounts. Before the target site opens for the first time, Walker takes the profile through a list of other sites, so it collects cookies and history like a regular user.
Turning it on
Section titled “Turning it on”Walker runs when a profile is created. On Windows you can also run it later for any profile — see below.
-
In the New Profile form, tick Run Walker.
-
In the Walker window, list the sites — one per line:
https://www.google.comhttps://www.youtube.comhttps://www.wikipedia.orghttps://www.bbc.com -
Set the pause between visits in seconds, from and to — for example
3 – 10. -
Click OK, then create the profile with Add.
The profile opens the listed sites in turn, then the site from Platform.
Warming up an existing profile (Windows)
Section titled “Warming up an existing profile (Windows)”On Windows, Walker can run at any time — for a profile that already exists.
- Open the profile you want to warm up.
- Open the Walker window: Automator → More → Walker.
- Paste the sites into List of links — one per line, up to 300.
- Set Delay — seconds spent on each site, from and to — and Count — how many sites to visit, also as a range.
- Turn on Random selection of links so sites aren’t visited in list order.
- Click Start. Stop interrupts the warm-up.
Walker opens the sites in the current profile and scrolls the pages a little, the way a person does.
Which sites to pick
Section titled “Which sites to pick”- Popular in the proxy’s country. For the US — Google, YouTube, Amazon, CNN. For Germany — Google.de, Spiegel, eBay.de.
- Sites with ad pixels and analytics — news portals, marketplaces. They leave cookies that ad systems see.
- 5–10 sites is enough. A longer list just takes longer.
